The first blog for hopefully a lot more until I lose interest in blogging. I guess the appropriate thing is to say a little about myself and why I am making this blog.
I am a 20 year old college student who is majoring in a field that has come under persecution from those who say they are closest to me. However, this does not stop me. I am currently obtaining a psych major and hopefully can get my master's soon after obtaining such degree.
I enjoy music more than the average individual, mainly due to my interest in music. I also enjoy movies just like anyone else, but also look for the deeper meaning (or make one up) and try to understand the perspective of the person as to how they reached such a point. My readings are usually not fictional, even though I do like a fictional book every so often. I usually end up reading a philosophy or psychology book of some sorts.
I am also a more recent atheist. I have been an atheist for the past couple of years and I must say it's quite a gift to actually taking a day off instead of waking up from a good Saturday party of sin to go and tell the invisible controller of the universe how much I love and adore him for all he has done for me (which is nothing). Which leads me to my main purpose of this blog:
I usually have a lot of thoughts about religion, mainly Christianity since I was brought up in it. I need some place to write them down. I have been using a note book and that would be nice...but it's just for me. I feel arrogant and I feel there has to be at least ten people out there would be interested in reading ramblings of a young adult who may change his mind about God down the road...or possibly (which is looking more and more likely) to keep the route of feelings of freedom (I guess I will talk about freedom in another blog, remind me some time). I may also write stories of sorts or other things, but mainly this is a thread of I guess you could say philosophy minus the use of most philosophy terms.
Until we meet again.
