#5 "I'm votin' Bible!"

Last Christmas, my older brother decided to get my dad Glenn Beck's book "Arguing with Idiots." Now, my dad is old and he likes Glenn Beck (I blame his age and his decline in logic lately), so when he got this gift he was happy like a little boy watching a catholic priest be arrested. Both my sister and me, however, rolled our eyes in disgust.

Now my sister asked my dad why he likes Glenn Beck in her annoying bitch voice. He basically said he likes him and how he reports the news (ha, Glenn Beck and news. Oxymoron!). Now both my sister, my older brother, and I hate Mr. Beck. My sister and I don't like him because he is a whore. He was bitching about healthcare when he was at CNN and now that he's at Fox News he praises it like it's some damn perfect machine. We said our views on Mr. Beck, views that relate to the business he is in.

What does my brother say? My brother of baptist faith says he does not Glenn Beck because he's a Mormon. Yes, because Glenn Beck is a Mormon, my older brother despises him. Forget the fact he makes racist remarks. Forget the fact he's a fucking whore for the media machine. Forget all that. He's a Mormon! We can't have Mormons telling us the news!

Personally, I'm trying to figure out the correlation between telling the news to your religion. I mean, are we that shallow and moronic of a society that our politics and where we get our info from has to be based from our religions?

I remember my mom saying at one point she watched the 700 Club because it reported the news unbiasedly. The 700 Club, the show with Pat Robertson. Mr. Diamond Mines, Mr. Haiti got what it deserved, Mr. Prophet getting it wrong. There is really no such thing as an unbiased media outlet, only illusions of such things. And my mom bought this illusion because it was a Christian media source.

We believe in certain things just because the people of religion sects we are a part of tell us things, and so we will believe it. Nevermind the fact that they may be no where near qualified to study that area of expertise and show it in their writings. We'll just listen to them because they are part of our religion.

You know Kirk Cameron and ray Comfort? The two shmucks who came up with Way of the Master? People think Kirk Cameron is some hero now because he's a Christian. We give all the other actors crap for talking about shit that they are not experts in and yet Christians will act like Mr. Cameron is a fucking saint and genius because he is a Christian.

And what about George Bush, America's last president? He himself is considered a man of faith so we voted for him. The guy who allowed his government to lie to get into a war? But people admired his faith. why question the man who has great faith in God? He prays to him, so it's all ok.

And already people are getting scared of the upcoming 2012 elections, with the strong possibility of Sarah Palin running for president. I hope people would have the sense to not vote for her even in the primaries, but people will. Why? She's a woman of faith. I mean forget everything that every other news outlet in the world says about her, with the exception of Fox News and it's independent puppets. If every Christian in America voted for her...she would win the election. And I wouldn't be surprised if almost every pastor in America decided to tell people to vote for her.

Just think of it. A woman who is all for the family unit, opposes gay marriage, opposes abortion, opposes the idea that we are not a Christian nation, and is for everything Christian. I mean, all they have to do is get over the fact that women cannot be leaders of men and we got a strong candidate for Christians! At least they are slowly becoming progressives! Evolving, if you will. Anyway...

Religion. Just another political tool.
